    Job summaryWe are seeking an ambitious Software Development Engineer to join our team in Amazon Music Search. The Amazon Music Search engineering teams vision is to be the one stop shop for all Amazon music search and discovery needs across any of Amazon Musics client experiences. We are building a set of services that can perform federated search across various (sometimes complex) sources of data. We also own highly available and distributed data stores that we use to index a variety of content to be made available for search.As an engineer on the Amazon Music Search team, you will build innovative solutions that impact millions of Amazon Music customers globally. You will work closely with partners across the Amazon Music organization to understand a broad range of business and customer problems and envision how to help solve these problems through new and improved search experiences. You will use the latest and greatest technologies to solve these problems most optimally and to make it simpler and faster to launch new search experiences in the future.     • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
    • 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
    • Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
    3+ years of experience in building and operating large scale distributed systems. Comfortable in evaluating and using various NoSQL data stores, caching systems, queuing systems, RPC frameworks and other building blocks of a large scale distributed systems M.Sc or PhD in a related technical field 3+ years of experience with operating critical, 24x7 systems Experience working with search relevance and ranking algorithms will be of advantage. Fluency in programming languages beyond Java and C++ (e.g. Ruby, Python, Perl) Experience with AWS services highly desirable A high degree of customer obsession and an interest in collaborating across teams and functions to solve the needs of both customers and partner teams.
