  • Technically leads and manages all software projects through all stages of the life cycle, including responsibility towards understanding and capturing requirements, design, development and acceptance testing
  • Ability to drive projects in Agile model.
  • Identifies potential areas of automation, applies proven mechanisms such as DevOps to conceptualize on those areas and come out with productive solutions.
  • Produce high quality of technical / strategy / status document to higher management
  • Decompose technical tasks and provide estimates
  • Mentor and coach lower/nil experienced members within the team
  • Undertake development tasks without supervision, including software designing, programming and testing within a Test-Driven Development process
  • Monitor progress, raise risks / issues at appropriate time along with timely updates to higher management
  • Understand and apply a formal quality approach towards design, development and testing phases
  • Strong people management skills to build high calibre team
  • Ability to run more than one project streams with high quality consciousness on every delivery.
  • Strategic yearly planning wrt to resource, finance planning along with monthly forecasting and tracking via given project management tool and produce timely status reports along with expected deviation, if any.
  • Conduct stakeholders meet on a timely fashion and articulate project status along with risks and the relevant mitigation strategies.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Understand user requirements and build solution architecture and be able to break it into high level & low level design
  • Sound knowledge on DevOps mechanisms and tools such as: Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, ELK Stack, Rundeck, Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Perform coding / code review in line with existing architecture boundaries, use best practices and coding standards
  • Handle user requests for creation of new data and set up
  • Responsible for meeting overall delivery schedules and ensuring the delivered solution meets the technical specifications and design requirements
  • Co-ordinate with the teams to resolve issues (thru clarification, data fixes and program fixes following required process) in development & test environments
  • Support production rollouts and change implementations followed by successful UVT
  • Conduct peer-reviews and lead reviews and provide feedback
  • Run daily scrum meetings and track tasks via JIRA
  • Provide accurate and detailed weekly task reports
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Programming SkillsMust have experience and knowledge of current Java technologies and methodologies, and hands-on experience in the following:
  • Web front-end experience GWT/Ember JS/HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • Core Java / JEE / JBoss EAP
  • Object-relational Mappers JPA/Hibernate
  • JMS
  • XML / XSLT
  • JUnit
  • The application of design patterns
  • Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Relational database Oracle, Postgres
  • Python, Container Management (Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShif) skills a plus
An understanding of the following would also be advantageous and preferred:
  • Enterprise usage of Java/JEE
  • Workflow based processing
  • REST-full Web Services
  • Enterprise Data Management
  • Real-time reporting frameworks
  • Understanding on Architecture/Design patterns
