Job Description

The Purpose of This RoleThe Individual we are seeking to hire is a hands-on architect with well-honed design and development skills. This individual is expected to work under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range targets for and offshore program/project delivery on behalf of Fidelity Fund & Investment operations (FFIO) Tech architectureThe Value You Deliver

  • The incumbent will work at the functional/business unit level to provide technical leadership to programs and projects.
  • Develop application architecture for complex business systems for FFIO Domains, specifically Investment Operations domain.
  • Supports and communicates relevant IT governance policies, procedures, and processes
  • Guide/develop, communicate and oversee implementation of high-level and low-level design in compliance to roadmap, architecture and design standards defined by Business Unit
The Skills that are Key to this roleTechnical / Behavioral
  • You have understanding & experience with languages like including functional java, pl/sql and preferably python. Should be conversant with frameworks like spring and angular
  • You have thorough understanding of application design principles and patterns
  • You effectively address functional and quality goals of systems during design activities. Apply appropriate approaches to assessing tradeoffs among architectural quality goals
  • You are independent in identifying business critical gaps and discrepancies; actively propose Application Architectural solutions
  • You define, champion, manage pace, and govern application architecture standards, tools, best practices, and related development methodologies working with the FFIO tech architecture practice group
  • You can demonstrate capability developing, maintaining, application architecture pattern and cloud deployment patterns. Promote Microservice architecture to enable re-use, design for scale, stability, and operational efficiency of data/analytical solutions

  • Strong personal leadership and collaborative skills, combined with comprehensive, practical experience and knowledge in application architecture, data structure and algorithms and strategy domain
  • Application Architectural expertise in project, product, and cross product technology strategy
  • Experience working with modelling tools like visio.
  • Cloud deployment and design concepts and reference models
