Job Description

As a Director Business Intelligence & Decision Support (BIDS), the value you deliver will be in the below key areas:

    • Strategy:
      • Proven track record in leading large horizontal teams supporting various departments across the organization
      • Creating roadmaps for the team aligning to the larger business strategies of our stakeholder organizations
      • Implementing business strategies for the Business Unit (BU)
    • Budgeting/Financial Management:
      • Owning various aspects of financials like determining resource allocation, monitoring financials Project and non-project budgeting
      • Optimization and adherence to stipulated Financial budget and drive financial efficiencies within the BU
    • Stakeholder Engagement:
      • Interacting with senior level management, driving meetings and constant touch points with senior leadership
      • Understand and remain aligned to stakeholder business priorities
      • Leverage the diversity of the horizontal team and ensures priorities are aligned with customer expectations
    • Team Engagement:
      • Building, inspiring and providing strategic direction and roadmap to achieve BU goals
      • Providing technical leadership to the various teams in their endeavor to deliver high quality, class leading Business Intelligence solutions
      • Creating productive working relationships and strategic partnerships with other discipline leaders both within and outside of the BU
      • Mentoring and coaching senior team members, including front line managers and creating succession plans
      • Accountable for overall performance management of the BIDS team
    • Planning and execution:
      • Establish executable goals against the set roadmap
      • Planning team delivery and operating model, project and resource prioritization and identifying risks and challenges
The Skills that are Key to this roleTechnical / Behavioral
      • You should have an understanding of the capabilities of the various elements in the BI stack
      • You must have good grasp on the concepts of overall Data Warehousing concepts systems and capabilities
      • You are proficient in data & allied BI technology stack like Microsoft BI, Oracle PLSQL, Informatica ETL, and BI tools like OBIEE, Tableau, Qlik etc.
      • You must have goo knowledge of traditional RDBMS (Oracle/ PL SQL/ Informatica) and Big Data Ecosystems
      • Financial Services and/or US Retirement planning industry domain knowledge
      • You should have proficiency in defining & leading Business Unit level strategy, significant experience in leading diverse teams, managing multiple stakeholders, and ensuring delivery of best in class Business Intelligence solutions
      • You should have the ability to negotiate, influence and work with peers, business partners and senior management with a results oriented mindset
      • Proven ability to inspire confidence, create executive presentations and guide strategic discussions with senior management
      • You should have prior experience being a manager of people managers, with sound Talent development skills, a passion to coach your teams and create future leaders

      • Knowledge of Data Analytics in the areas of statistical modeling, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning concepts
