Job Description

About the role

  1. Providing leadership and direction to the design/operations team by stating clear expectations regarding business goals, priorities and risks while gaining team commitment to the achievement of the required results.
  2. Ideation, execution, coaching and mentoring the direct reports to drive supply chain improvements and re-design supply chain in line with business objectives.
  1. Ability to promote a culture of innovation and continuously stretching the boundaries of process excellence
  2. Bring in expertise insights of best practices followed in the Last Mile ecosystem by other players and adapt or implement them
  1. Develop and maintain expert knowledge of the business/operations together with knowledge of the business environment and process excellence concepts, methodologies and tools.
  2. Act as a subject matter expert for the business/operations working with external bodies: product, tech, ops, legal, infra to influence decisions. Provided performance-focused leadership.
  3. Develop product and customer-specific operating plans to meet the market demands while having a keen focus on customer requirements
  4. Build solutions to meet the hiring needs; identify and work with top performers for talent development and create a leadership pipeline for own level
  5. Develops a problem-solving culture where problems are made visible and fixed at the root cause
  6. Engages in relentless pursuit of continuous improvement to create best-in-class supply chain asset
About the teamDesign team is responsible for designing solutions for different assets (FC, MH, CL, Network, Packaging) inorder to drive future capabilities for bringing in cost, speed and reliability efficiency.What you ll do:Key Accountabilities:
  1. Lead the customer experience and differentiation charters charters for Last Mile.
  2. Develop product and customer-specific operating plans to meet the market demands while having a keen focus on customer requirements
  3. Promote Innovation and drive measurable benefits for customer-facing Last Mile operations
  4. Improve productivity through the development of robust and effective operational best practices.
  5. Meet the customer experience, cost, speed & reliability
  6. Develop first in class Last mile network to make Flipkart as the first choice for customers and efficient supply chain for the organization
  7. Successfully lead the team to achieve the organizational goals
  8. Improve productivity through the development of robust and effective operational best practices.
  9. Build a safe Last Mile network for the products and customer by developing a leak proof or tight supply chain
What you ll need:Please check and make changes, if required
  1. Post Graduate from Tier I: Preferable in Supply Chain management
  2. Strong experience in envisaging and delivering on customer-facing constructs.
  3. Process design, re-engineering related, Supply chain logistics work experience in Supply Chain (at least 8 to 10 years) - Must Have
  4. Well versed with the processes being followed in supply chain logistics - Must Have
  5. Sound knowledge and understanding of the Last Mile and First Mile processes, operations and solutions Good to Have
  6. Capable of driving product and technology teams for building a sustainable and robust logistics processes
  7. Process design and re-engineering tools and techniques
  8. Lean and six sigma black belt
  9. Possess problem-solving and program/project management skills
  10. Comfort in working in unstructured environments and fast timelines
  11. Excellent verbal and written communications skills
