Job Description

*Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.As a director of the software engineering division, you will apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture.Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience., *We are looking for a technically hands-on Director of Software Development with expertise and passion for innovation, solving difficult problems and developing the next generation of Digital Experience for Communications . As a Director of Software Development you will own and lead development teams and be responsible for development of Oracle s DX4C solution. You will also work closely with other peers/leaders within and outside of the Fusion CX Development team. This position is located in Bengaluru, India.Manager skills:

  • You should be a well-rounded and experienced Director of Development who is a strong people manager, technically hands-on (preferably with JavaScript and REST web services development) and has experience with leading globally distributed teams.
  • You have start-up and enterprise development experience and have an eye for speed, efficiency, impact and common sense.
  • You have experience with agile methodology and have successfully led efforts to transform teams using agile.
  • You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn new tech stack, new technologies, drive innovation and mentor and develop team members.
  • You have strong communication skills, analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of SaaS product development.
  • You are comfortable working with geographically distributed teams and contribute to the success of his/her and other related teams.
  • You can provide strong leadership to ensures a consistent approach of organizational policies and procedures.
  • Experience in building Oracle Fusion Apps would be highly desirable.
Technical skills:
  • Software Coding using Java-based technologies
  • Hands-on experience with REST, HTTP, Microservices, Eventing frameworks
  • An understanding of: OAuth2.0, JWT.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka
  • Fluent with IDE and Java build tools such as GIT, Eclipse, Netbeans, Maven, Jenkins and Modeling Tools of UML
  • Experience on JUnit, and JMockit tools
  • Experience on REST testing tools like Postman, JMeter.
