Job Description

  • As a Director at Walmart India Delivery Center in Bangalore, you ll have the opportunity to lead multiple teams who would need to define, implement, manage and deliver Enterprise Solutions to our global customers.
  • You will enable d eveloping technical strategies for applications and systems by promoting an understanding of the technology and business roadmap that is focused on Tech transformation using cloud-based technologies while enabling business to venture with new & innovative business models with special emphasis on agility, scale and elegance of solution. You will help in building & managing a high performing team that can work directly with global markets in delivering scalable local solutions in line with the global design. You will be challenged with unparalleled complex business problems that spans across multiple countries, highest number of users and the highest data volume in the world
Your Responsibility
  • Build, develop and guide high-performing talent for the Finance or Procurement Technology domains. Define a long-term talent strategy cutting across technology and business analyst (Functional) roles.
  • Engage with Business Services leadership in Walmart Technology, BV (Bentonville) in setting up strategy and priorities for the team and in delivering best services to the business customers around the globe
  • Adapt and deliver on the Agile strategy
  • Create a collaborative environment across geography for delivering best services to the customers around the globe
  • Own and manage budget planning, spend and tracking for your area of responsibility. The budget will be across headcount and 3 rd party contractors.
  • Enable team to deliver using agile methodologies and work in devops model
  • Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Provide supervision, mentoring and development opportunities for associates and managers who report into you.
Your Qualifications
  • Graduate with 15+ years of experience in the open stack and cloud technology and leading teams.
  • Background with SAP Finance or Procurement
  • Technical leadership in design, implementation and support of core database services that are highly reliable, flexible, and scalable
  • Strong track record on working either in a technical or functional role and should have experience of working with multiple enterprise solutions
  • Proven ability to design and deliver global enterprise solutions that are flexible, scalable and aligned to local needs while operating within a global framework
  • Experience developing long-term strategies and influencing leadership decisions
  • Should have preferably worked with an end customer company for the experience of building solutions
  • Good experience of working with globally distributed teams in a collaborative and productive manner
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, good with people, ability to negotiate
  • Experience across the product development SDLC with agile practices
