    Head Of Software Development/Engineering - Leading Security and Surveillance Product CompanySenior level of leadership and high ownershipOpportunity to be associated with a fast paced software product organizationAbout Our ClientOur Client is a software product organisation exhibiting high growth in international markets Job Description This role reports to the CEO of the organisation. Some key responsibilities of the role are:- Partnering closely with business leadership team to develop and drive the product development strategy. - Driving the cross functional Product Development team comprising of R&D, Software Architecture & Product Design, Software development and Product Management- Guiding on development methodologies, architecture, best practices and software frameworks.- Lead a software engineering & development organization responsible for design, development, testing and delivery of an enterprise class cloud agnostic VSaaS offering using agile development methodologies.- Create an Internet of Things (IoT) and advanced analytics offering that leverages IT and OT data that enables customers to improve their productivity, performance, reliability, and safety.- Attract, recruit, and lead next gen digital talent team to drive enterprise goals. Build high performance technical organizational and talent development capability including succession plans. Ensure organization is positioned to support growth in emerging markets.- Drive financial performance by meeting expense and capital budgets as well as developing budgets to fund growth programs supporting business goals.The ideal candidate should have demonstrable experience which includes engineering/R&D, software development, application development and middleware, IoT, cloud/platform computing, software as a service (SaaS) etc.Technical skills will include knowledge of Internet of Things (IOT) technology stack including connectivity and security protocols, software technologies .Experience in time series databases, public cloud platforms such as Azure/AWS/GCP, big data analytics, asset and performance managementUnderstanding of Video and image processing/Computer vision/pattern recognition/ machine learning and artificial intelligence is a plus.EducationA Masters or Ph.D. in Engineering or Computer Science, from a school with a strong program in technology research and development/project management is required, with an MBA or relevant business experience a plus.This job opening was posted long time back.
