1. Skills required:The following skills are required to be successful in performing this position.Technical (Must have):Strong understanding and hands on experience of BMC Discovery 11.x platforms, principles processes and best practices. BMC Remedy ITSM Suite, BMC ARS.Strong knowledge of ITSM Processes, Incident, Change & Release Management, SLM, Asset Management, Software Lifecycle ManagementSound knowledge of Enterprise Architectures, Infrastructure Hardware (Mid-Range Servers, Networks, Storage, Virtualization, Cloud, etc)Subject matter experience in discovery tools such as BMC ADDM; familiarity with BMC Remedy and the BMC Remedy, BMC Atrium CMDB data model and asset classificationsSetup, configuration, and monitoring of scheduled discovery scans, SAAM Modelling and maintenance skillsUnderstand best practices and determines optimized procedures for updating CI data including the use of automated processes, discovery tools/integrations with other data sources, and manual input processes as necessary.Sound knowledge of the Discovery Exception process management.Perform system and application setup/support and maintenance in conjunction with the regular scheduled maintenanceScripting knowledge (Unix, Perl, SQL)Implementation of a formal governance model and the creation of key performance indicators (KPIs)Experience in building application relationship and service modellingExperience in Financial Services Industry Processes, Compliance and audit Requirements.Liaising with application and platform owners to ensure data completeness and accuracyNice to have:Experience in Cloud, AWS/Azure, SaaS, Virtualisation technologies,Non-technical:Must have:4+ Years Relevant experience in BMC Discovery / Service Now / RemedyExcellent communication, and presentation skills.Sound written and verbal communications skills, and ability to communicate, convince all levels of management.Ability to manage external (vendor) resources and ability to interact and deliver with various technology domains both regional and global teams.Project management and solutions integration experience.Nice to have: ITIL V3 Certified,Certification in BMC Discovery tools management.2. Key Responsibilities:The key responsibilities of this role are to:Develop and implement a robust, cost effective Discovery Management processes and strive for continuous improvement. Assess and introduce new Software and hardware products that might improve efficiency & effectiveness of the process.Extensive experience with installing and maintaining ADDM within a highly distributed complex environment.Develop influential and trustworthy working relationships with other Technology and Business teams to communicate and achieve Infrastructure capacity and performance Objectives.3.
