Accountable for the performance management process and staffing for the unit. Participates in developing the strategic plan and manages the unit s expenses. Engages with the stakeholders to provide on-going satisfaction with Investment services. Provides consulting expertise to clients and internal partners and Staff. People Management: Responsible for managing and growing a team size of 125+ Partners providing the above mentioned services to EMEA and North America and split between two locations , namely , Pune and Bangalore. Provides leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment which encourages ownership, excellence, employee engagement, teamwork, and communication. Manages direct reports through the employee journey Supports employees in their individual career aspirations whether they involve movement to other roles or growing in their current one Demonstrates a fair and equitable approach in recognizing, rewarding and developing each individual Creates and fosters an inclusive environment where team members interact with trust, respect and a shared sense of purpose and collective impactMajor Duties : Manages investment performance operations and change management function. Conducts the performance management process , identifies training and development needs and establishes the Performance standards for the unit. Is directly accountable for the Timeliness and quality of the Deliverables Determines staffing needs, makes hiring decisions , Handles salary administration and ensures resources are available to accomplish priorities Participates in developing the business unit strategic plan and sets goals / priorities based on the direct set for the unit and follow through to ensure objectives are met. Ensures adequate systems and controls are in place and in compliance with relevant corporate policies: Balances the interests and requirements of clients, shareholders and the bank Leads and drives the talent strategy and ensures the right mix , drives a transparent and fair performance culture and ensures the performance management process is followed Manages all aspects of function with due skill, care and diligence including effective controls, risk management, mitigation and delegation of activities to appropriately skilled and competent persons Develops unit(s) budget and manages the expenses for the unit. Has a change mindset and works with the stakeholders to support the change initiatives for IRAS Manage transformational projects for IRAS and work with the stake holders to understand the business impactAccountabilities:Employees are required to comply with the regulatory regime in which Northern Trust operates as appropriate to the above role Employees are expected to exercise due care and diligence, ensuring the areas, the incumbent is responsible for, are organised and controlled Employees are required to observe proper standards of market, business and personal conduct, demonstrating integrity in the execution of dutiesSkills:Knowledge of Investment vehicles , Laws and regulations and economic conditions that affect investments in order to provide services to clients Analytical and problem solving skills are required to understand and resolve investment solutions for the clients. Leadership and Organizational skills are required to determine the unit goals , resources needed and to assess and develop the skills of the staff. In-depth functional / Industry knowledge is required Highly flexible and adaptable to changeQualifications:Bachelor s or Master s degree with emphasis in Finance and Accounting, CIPM/CFA is an added advantage Minimum 15+ years of work experience in financial industry with at least 7 years in the investment performance analysis and Reporting Industry. Minimum 7+ years of people management experience Flexibility with shifts and extended working hours as per business requirements Strong business partnership and influencing skills Ability to communicate in the big picture but working with close attention to details and accuracy. Ability to convey key points in a concise and effective manner Experience with identifying problems and providing solutions through operational process improvement effortsAdditional Information,
