Job Description

Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Unix / Linux System Administration
  • Installation and maintenance of SLES and Ubuntu
  • Expert on troubleshooting Unix/Linux system issues and Root Cause Analysis
  • Monitor system performance and ensure availability
  • knowledge in Oracle database
  • Knowledge in Solaris server Administration
  • Knowledge of using server monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix)
  • Automation of repeated process using scripts (shell scripts, perl or python)
  • Experience with Virtualization Technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Samba, NIS, NFS and Autofs
  • Working knowledge of Grid engine (added advantage)
  • Working knowledge of Storage and Backups (added advantage)
