The primary responsibility of this role is to lead design engineering activities for product development and evolution of LV or MV Switchgears/Panel boardsto meet customer specific technical, cost and market related technology requirement in accordance with IEC standards. The candidate will be involved in all phases of product development.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop designs to meet electrical distribution market needs defined by product technicalspecificationsResponsible for the design, development, documentation readiness.Hands on experience in LV/MV products like MCC, PCC, Switchboard, Panelboards, circuit-breaker is great.Lead engineering analysis on design concepts using engineering fundamentals and analysis tools and Conduct design feasibility studies using hands like Pro/eShould have experience on 3D software s like DFMEA, ProE, AutoCAD, PDM, PLM tools for electrical and mechanical designing.Working in close collaboration with manufacturing/tooling expert to perform in metallic and plastic parts design.Manage execution of prototype design & build.Interact and challenge with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, sourcing, finance, marketing and vendors to define requirements, validate designs, implement manufacturingreadiness and support product launchDevelop and update product documentation including drawings, BOMs and design guides.Knowledge of raw material selection for sheet metal parts and Plastic partsRequirements:Experience in product design EngineeringExposure to product design & development, quality, costing of electrical distribution products like Low Voltage switchgear, MCC, PCCManufacturing knowledge for stamping, molding, machining, casting, & assembly processes and tooling is nice.Understanding on materials - ferrous & non-ferrous metals, plastics, elastomersWorking knowledge of CAD/CAE software like Pro/ECommunication & interpersonal skills.Qualifications - ExternalQualificationsBE / B Tech in Mechanical/Electrical engineering with 4 - 11 years relevant experience,
