Min 3 yrs of experience in handling or working in virtualization environment doing troubleshooting. 3. Intermediate VMware scripting-creating scripts, modifying scripts- automating the job, PowerShell, Power CLI, Good to have- Terraforms, Pythons, configuration mgmt. using Ansible and chef, OS hardening on windows. *Operations/Troubleshooting is mandatory *Must have scripting exp like Shell/Python/Unix/Linux. *Knowledge on Automation is required. Vmware Admin Domain : Compute Server Hardware(Must have) o Good knowledge on compute hardware Installation, configuration and maintenance methodologies o Strong & up-to-date knowledge on various compute hardware IBM / DELL / HP etc. o Proficient knowledge on Server Administration RAM /HDD/Firmware upgrade o Strong knowledge on industry standard virtualization technologies such as VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V etc. Good analytical skills on VMware virtualization concepts o VMware cluster (vCenter) HA, DRS, vMotion, storage vMotion etc., o VM Clone, Snapshot, backup management o VM Conversion, PV2, V2V o Good analysis and trouble shooting skills Strong knowledge on operational activities of virtualized infrastructure o Install, Configure, manage & maintain virtualized infrastructure o Installation, configuration & management of OS and applications o Related to infrastructure that are necessary to support R&D team o Creation of virtual machines, clone jobs, snapshots, backup etc. o Configuration modification to existing virtual machines Domain : Operating Systems & Database(Must have) Good knowledge on Operating Systems Install, Configure and troubleshooting o Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012 File system (NTFS), application installation, OS configuration concepts o VMware ESXi VMFS, ESXi configuration etc. o Linux OS CentOS / RedHat / SuSe etc., o Strong Group policy knowledge Good understanding on Database o Microsoft SQL 2005/2008/2012 Domain : Storage(Good to have) Good understanding of storage concepts, technologies SAN, NAS, DAS, *GRADUATION
