Job Description TITLE: Principle Software Engineer/ Module LeaderREPORTING To: Direct Manager IndiaIT Project Manager FranceWORKING LOCATION: BangaloreOVERALL OBJECTIVES: Deliver and maintain high quality software both individually and as part of a team, including performing activities such as; analysis, design, code, testing, documentation, operation, support, etc. Promote high quality engineering of the target solutions;Embrace Agile practices and adhere to Eurofins guidelines in all the phases of the SDLC;Collaborate with users, business analysts, application architects, deployment team(s) and other stakeholders to design and build fit- for- purpose software;Develop working relationships within the wider Eurofins IT community and with internal customers;Guarantee that local team delivers on time, and that deliveries are high quality and fit for purpose;Make sure that local team members have necessary technical skills and business knowledge to achieve their tasks. ROLES RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and maintain Eurofins Europe s B2B application, which is a . NET C# back office application. Lead and mentor the EITSI B2B developers in the design, development, testing and construction of the B2B application;Review the code of other EITSI B2B developers in order to guarantee a product delivered fit- for- purpose with a high level of quality;Escalate and follow- up any and all issues that might be a blocker for the developers. Insure the EITSI B2B team improvement in terms of efficiency and manages to deliver the features engaged in the Sprints. Contribute to the development, maintenance, troubleshooting and documentation of the B2B application;Adhere to Eurofins standard operating procedures in all phases of the software development lifecycle;Develop working relationships with EITSI community in order to expand and share architecture and development best practices;Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned. ABOUT THE PROJECTEurofins s Europe B2B application is the main electronic data interchange system between Eurofins s Europe Laboratories and our final clients. This solution has been developed internally by Eurofins. The solution is currently composed by back end . NET C# application with synchronous and asynchronous processing to receive and send data from/ for our clients. Participating to the development of this application implies integrating one of our most strategic and critical applications. REQUIRED PROFILE: Educational Background: BE Computer Science/ MCA or any other Bachelor s degree with the relevant experience. Experience: 6+ years experience in software engineering in C# . NET environment. 2+ years experience as technical team leaderStrong technical and analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of application architecture;Experience in collaborating in projects distributed across multiple international locations. Technical Skills: Mandatory Strong knowledge of C#, . NET 4. 0+Strong knowledge of Entity Framework and LINQ queriesStrong knowledge in MS SQL ServerStrong knowledge in object- oriented design and programmingGood understanding of design patterns and best coding practices including Dependency Injection/ InversionGood understanding of Test Driven Development (TDD)Knowledge on either HTTP REST services or ASP. NET MVC / Web APIOptionalExperience in Scrum with Team Foundation Server would be highly appreciatedKnowledge of Mock library is a plusPersonal Qualities: Very good English communication skills (written and oral)Ability to work in a complex international environmentAt ease with distant communications utilizing a wide array of technologies (shared code, documents, phone, chat, email)Ability to communicate technical concepts to other developersResponsive and proactive problem solver Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with ability to make independent judgmentsAbility to understand full business context and end- user needsEager to learn and continuously develop personal and technical capabilitiesAbility to time manages the team commitments to insure feature deliveries on time. Travel: The role may require 10% travel to Europe (on project- need basis). PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL CRITERIA: Eurofins has a strong focus on Performance Management systems. This includes quarterly assessments and half- yearly reviews and annual reviews. KPIs shall be set and may vary slightly between projects. These will be clearly communicated and documented during the first 30 days of your joining.
