About the JobAs the Fashion Apparel Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and supporting developments of all apparel products that go with Fashion and Lifestyle. Your role will be to create exciting and timely product assortment for our Online and Retail business. To execute the vision of Brand Chumbak and intuitively respond to customer feedback and market trends. In addition, use your fashion intuition to design an assortment that drives category specific growth and increases profitability. You will partner with the Sourcing, Planning and Retail + Front End team to understand the customer s preference, brand s look and feel and product focus areas in order to develop a successful range. You should be ready to work with a team or in an individual capacity. The categories you will be designing and developing will be apparels in the Fashion Knits and woven category. The designs will not only create a unique range offering at Chumbak but also be used to compliment fashion accessories and footwear.Role & Responsibilities

• Complete detailed design briefs and tech packs for seasonal product range development as per range plan.
• Complete all Tech packs with full technical specifications and support the sourcing team with product details requirements for all developments across the season.
• Complete design requirements on a seasonal basis, hitting key due dates and follow up dates.
• Conduct Seasonal Research on Fashion Trends and stay up-to-date with trend shifts. Prepare Trend presentations.
• Study market competition and trends from benchmarked international and domestic brands. Prepare competition analysis presentations.
• Incorporate learning and create USP through designs post research and market study.
• Prep and present concepts from trend to design development with the Fashion product team each season.
• Develop and source a library of new materials and techniques for accessories on a regular basis.
• Review and sign off on all samples with consent from Creative head, to ensure standardization throughout the assortment.
• Conduct and refine Fits for apparel with every season and customer survey/feedback sessions.
• Manage creative concept to style ideas to the plan, ensuring that each item is a winner and that the assortment is properly balanced and invested by ensuring there is an appropriate balance of looks, silhouettes, fabrics, patterns, color, price points, etc.
• Ensure ensembling of Fashion Apparel & Accessories with close collaborate with the design team members.
• Travel to factories for design and development of product.
• Communicate and collaborate with sourcing team to support vendors and on-time production.
• Analyze & study(with retail & category team) weekly and monthly sales reports to constantly improve hit rate.
• Recognize and react quickly to all trends, whether product or store related.
• Attend follow-up meetings for all products and manage workload accordingly.

Desired Experience and SkillsEducation : Graduate/Post Graduate Years of Experience : 4 - 6 years Should have :

• Outstanding taste and overall eye for design in the field of Fashion.
• Ability to map Fashion trends and have extensive knowledge about changing market trends in apparel brands and trends, both domestic and international.
• Ability to work well within a team to create the best product that is customer-focused.
• Ability to respond to business objectives with creative and innovative design solutions.
• Must have a keen eye for detail with excellent creative & aesthetic skill.
• Ability to successfully manage workload efficiently & independently.
• Technical knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to design as per budget without compromising on quality.
• Ability to make graphics for surface detail and design.
• Ability to conceptualize ensembles for fashion using a holistic approach during design process
• Strong Computer skills: Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel.
• Strong Technical Skills: ability to generate full technical specs to be sent to vendors for production.
