Job Description

  • The Finance Manager is a key member of the team reporting to the CEO and is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies and processes to ensure a smooth running of all the finance and compliance related matter of Enabling Leadership.
  • Core Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Department heads and City Teams to gather input on projected reach and initiatives and develop annual and quarterly budgets and cash flow projections
  • Provide the Business Development Team with a strategic overview of funds requirement
  • Monitor spending and incoming funds across the global entities to effectively manage cash flows
  • Allocate funds based on source of donations and approve spending accordingly
  • Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis Work with the Operations team to conduct reviews and evaluate cost-reduction opportunities
  • Other Responsibilities:

    A) Reporting and Analysis

  • Work with the outsourced accounting team to ensure regular day-to-day accounting practices are managed effectively
  • Develop costing models to effectively target fundraising efforts by type of donor
  • Develop and publish quarterly management reports
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements across all global entities and provide the required information for publication of annual reports
  • Support the Business Development team to prepare Funds Utilization Reports for Corporate Donors
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes
  • B) Compliance:

  • Manage tax payments and filing requirements
  • Organize and manage the annual entity-wise reporting, filing and audits
  • Manage the tax exemption certification processes
  • Develop and implement processes and systems to maintain confidentiality, ensure that all financial regulations are met and to ensure a smooth-running operation
  • C) Forecasting:

  • Support the preparation of strategic 3-5-year plans
  • Analyze costs and financial trends to provide the management team with insights for longer-term decisions
  • Work with Operations team to develop scaling models for new rural and urban sites
