Job Description

Firmware Integration and validation engineerCreates, defines and develops system validation environment and test suites. Uses and applies emulation and platformlevel tools and techniques to ensure performance to spec. Responsible for the development of methodologies, execution of validation plans, and debug of failures. Requires broad understanding of multiple system areas and requires interfaces with Architecture, Design, and Presilicon Validation teams in improving postsilicon test content and providing feedback for future ondie debug features.Qualifications

  • Should have 4-10years of experience
  • Bachelors/Masters in Engineering in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Science/Embedded systems engineering with Prior experience in hands on FW validation or experience of embedded systems testing with knowledge in releasing software to wider audience with proper documentation and organized formats.
  • Prior experience in Product and Software Lifecycle - Requirement/concept to Release.
  • Experience in test case design development Review and Maintaining Test Plan and Test Cases Test execution establishing test case traceability
  • Experience with embedded processors, Drivers development /Flash Memory/BIOS/Bootloaders will be an add-on.
  • Knowledge/experience in using build, version control, bug reporting ,debugging tools.
  • Prior proven experience in software/firmware delivery and release to multiple stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of the UEFI architecture - Desired.
  • Prior experience of working on BIOS/Intel platforms/HW/SW/tools especially Server platforms will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in FW Val activities on Pre-Silicon Simulation/emulation environments Post-Si execution including PO - Si/Platform/Board Bring-up support - Desired
  • Experience in Debugging FW/Embedded SW issues on OS and OS-less system, preferably at FW level.
  • Experience in troubleshooting issues and interface with appropriate product teams on issue resolution on end to end basis.
  • Experience in publishing Reports, documentation of defects, process and procedures, sighting/defect indicators/metrics, knowledge/experience of bug life cycle management.
  • Knowledge of and working experience with logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, in-target probes and Lauterbach - Desired.
  • Excellent programming knowledge in C and Python/Scripting languages - Desired.
  • A team player with good organizational and planning skills, excellent verbal, analytical and presentation skills
