Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (WM) is a product of the acquisition of Smith Barney from Citigroup, which was completed in June 13. Its core client base is individual investors, small- to medium-size businesses and institutions, and high net worth families and individuals. In the second half of 14, WM reached a milestone, with its business having surpassed $2 trillion in total client assets.Client Channels team with in Wealth Management ( WM ) develops the Morgan Stanley Online web and mobile applications which provides comprehensive views of assets and liabilities, quick payments and transfer capabilities and much more for the wealth management clients. The application stack consists of Angular based web application supported by .NET & Scala based services layer. Application also integrates with core banking and enterprise wide services to enable a range of functionalities.Position Overview: As a Vice President, Technology for Client Channels team, the candidate will be performing actions similar to listed1.Functionally own Client Channels applications. Manage development, delivery and support. 2.Provide local leadership to development team in Bangalore. 3.Work with HR / Hiring team on India hiring front and assist on interviews. 4.Represent Client Channels team to India leadership. 5.Initiate and manage technical sessions for India team similar to NY architectural connects. 6.Provide feedback and manage year end feedback for the team. 7.Contribute to GVM and india specific events (like People Engagement committee) 8.Provide support for the extended consultant team in India as needed. 9.Work with release management / PM team on the production releases / hotfixes. 10.Work with engineering team on outages / infrastructure changes. 11.Be part of and contribute to global architecture discussions.The Right Candidate Education: Bachelor s/Master s Degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science/Engineering, Required Experience: Skill Set: Primary skills 1.Strong Software Engineering concepts. 2.Experienced in leading product development team. 3.Experience in Agile practices. 4.Strong experience of CSS, HTML5, Modular JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworks, Advanced JavaScript. 5.Experience in UI library framework architecture / development. 6.Experience with IE/Chrome Dev Tools. Cross browser development experience. 7.Knowledge of modern web application design, responsive design. 8.Source control (preferably Git), Continuous Integration tools 9.Knowledge in testing frameworks and test driven development. 10.Knowledge on Web Accessibility. 11.Driven and self-motivated 12.Strong Analysis and Problem Solving Skills 13.Excellent Communication SkillsGood to have skills1.Understanding of browser internals, and performance tuning skills 2.Net technologies with an emphasis on C#, ASP.Net, MVC/Web API.
