As a Front End Engineer II at Paragon, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining user interfaces for Paragons core components. These components include Paragon Workbench, which is the primary application used by agents on a daily basis to assist customers and investigate fraud cases. Workbench streamlines support tasks by breaking them down into clear steps, providing agents with tools to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness. Your work will involve collaborating with various teams to create responsive, scalable, and accessible solutions tailored to meet diverse customer needs.Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain web applications using React and modern JavaScript- Create reusable components and front-end libraries- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions- Develop and maintain micro-frontend and composable-UI architectures- Mentor engineers to foster systems thinking- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into functional features- Optimize applications for speed and scalability- Implement responsive design and ensure cross-browser compatibility- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code- Conduct code reviews to enhance capability- Troubleshoot and debug issues in production environmentsQualifications Required:- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent- 5 years of software development experience- 2 years of professional front end development experience- Proficiency in JavaScript and experience with React workflows- Familiarity with REST API services, Postgres, CI/CD pipelines, and Git- Knowledge of DOM manipulation, closures, async patterns, event loops- Experience with micro-architecture definition, CRM tools, and web services- Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices- Experience with SSR and CSR approaches for renderingThe team at Paragon focuses on building and evolving the mission-critical Paragon platform, which is integral to managing communications with millions of customers efficiently.
