Job Description

We are looking for a frontend developer to join our new and growing engineering team in APAC. The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter with strong work experience. This person will play a crucial role in the delivery of applications and services that empower our customers to achieve their mission.As a Frontend developer you will coordinate with multiple teams e.g. UI, backend etc. to design and implement user interfaces for applications based on JAVA and related technologies.Candidate will work with backend developers to implement and maintain web applications and services that interact with Product, Content, Search and E-Commerce systems.This position offers a challenging career to work on systems that interface with multiple systems including Content Management Systems, Product Information Management System, Middleware and ERPs.Responsibilities:

  • Work with and/or lead a scrum team to implement, deliver and aid production support group
  • Active participation in various scrum ceremonies such as Story grooming, sprint planning sessions etc., and contribute towards identifying technical risks, alternate solutions to various problems etc.
  • Work closely with development team, develop, unit test, debug and maintain front end of applications based on functional requirements and scope of work.
  • Confirm to Thermo Fisher software development standards.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Management, Product Marketing, and Engineering as needed during the development, launch and continuing refinement of applications
  • Building efficient front-end systems that drive complex web applications, and write clean, fast, compatible, easy-to-use components
  • Ability to build cross-platform/device compatible applications
  • Ability to analyze complex business process and data models
  • Focus on quality and continuous improvement to application and processes.
  • Staying up to date on the latest and best coding strategies.
  • Ensure complete documentation and compliance to all quality/compliance requirements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree or higher in Computer Science or relevant field
  • 5 to 7 years front-end working experience
  • Build high-quality mockups and design different prototypes.
  • Experience developing multi-channel, mobile-responsive and mobile-adaptive UI.
  • Must have experience working in React JS/progressive Web App for a minimum of 2+ years.
  • Must have experience in developing applications using Javascript, ReactJS, NodeJS, HTML5, CSS3/CSS4 and other UI technologies.
  • Understanding and experience with asynchronous processing, partial page refresh, DOM traversal and manipulation.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP API construction and documentation.
  • Must have prior wok experience in Agile delivery methodology.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working with GIT, JIRA, and Confluence will be an added advantage
  • Experience with front-end tools for testing and automation, like Gulp, Mocha, Karma, Chai and Selenium will be an added advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be effective in working both independently and in a team setting.
