Youll be part of a growing team, delivering value to our customers through creative improvements to Atlassian s product. Youll work closely with design and product management, influencing the direction of the product and helping the team get there. You ll collaborate with other developers, writing code that you are proud of and delivering amazing results that our users love.Where youll make an impactYou and your team will be responsible for the Atlassian Marketplace, which has over USD 1 billion in life-time revenue and is experiencing accelerated growth. It is crucial not only to Atlassians own success, but also to the success of our customers who find key business and productivity benefits across the 5k+ apps and our 1k+ global partner developers who build them.Youll be instrumental in architecting, building, operating, and optimizing the code that powers the Atlassian Marketplace storefronts, user experience, data model, analytics, service APIs, and more. Youll champion new features and improvements while also reducing technical debt through all phases of the software development lifecycle.On your first day, well expect you to have:

  • 3+ years of experience designing and building production-level web applications
  • Mastery of standard front-end technologies like modern HTML, CSS, JavaScript (we use React, Redux, Webpack and more), REST, and JSON
  • Deep architectural understanding of building scalable and reliable front ends
  • Great creative and innovative problem-solving skills
  • Initiative and the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Interest to learn more about new languages and frameworks
If youve got some of these skills, even better:
  • Hands on experience working with or building e-commerce products or platforms
  • Experience applying static typing in Javascript (for example TypeScript or Flow)
  • Experience with server run-times for javascript (Node)
  • Experience monitoring and operating a production-level service
  • Excitement about the latest trends in application design
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies like Kanban or Scrum
