We are responsible for creating innovative technology solutions for the Private Banking Group (PBG), one of the strategic growth areas of the Firm, providing cash management and lending products and services to our WM clients. This includes state-of-the-art technology for a nationwide network of Private Bankers and product specialists who work with Financial Advisors to provide access to products and services such as online banking, cards, deposit products, residential mortgages, securities-based loans and tailored lending. Candidate must have expertise in leading design and development of core Java applications as well as multi-tiered Java EE-style applications. Candidate should be fluent in related technologies including Spring, databases, database interface layers, web browser display technologies (AngularJS), web protocols and standards, and associated Java development tools.Candidate will interface on a regular basis with other teams including other internal IT teams across Wealth Management, BA team, QA team, and offshore development team. To be successful, the role will require the individual to understand the banking technology landscape, and to offer creative solutions that integrate current capabilities, vendor capabilities, proprietary system builds, and the ability to adapt to changing business requirements.Job Functions/Duties and Responsibilities The candidate will analyze user requirements, envision system features and functionality. • 5+ years of expertise in building enterprise level applications using Java technologies
• Solid understanding of multi-tiered web-based applications.
• Strong understanding of RDBMS databases, JDBC, and database access technologies (Sybase, DB2 preferred but not required), solid SQL skills
• Experience with Web Service development (REST/SOAP)
• Working knowledge of Spring MVC (or similar) framework and design patterns
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks and libraries (AngularJS, jQuery, etc.)
• Understanding of requirements of large enterprise applications (security, entitlements etc.)
• Experience with standard set of Java developments tools including IDEs, build frameworks, source code contro etc.
• Working understanding of Agile development methodologies & understanding of DevOps Integration
• Exposure to JIRA or other ALM tools to create a productive, high quality development environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills: ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner; individually or in front of a group
• Knowledge of Financial market, lending based products and Wealth Management.
