Roles and ResponsibilitiesMain Accountabilities
• The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Collaborate with IS Managers and Business Process Specialists to estimate the effort for SAP solutions, change requests and projects
• Translate Business requirements into blueprints and specifications for internal and external delivery parties
• Create and maintain Business Blueprints (BBP - detailed process description and requirements document) in projects
• Configure and roll out SAP solutions according to the requirements
• Ensure that Business users are adequately trained in new functionality
• Understand the related business processes in detail and apply this knowledge to shape and align IS solution/services
• Assist in the installation, management, maintenance, and optimisation of internal and cross-functional processes in SAP
• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the SD and LE
• Support Business and IS in the qualification of new business requests; qualify, estimate and prioritise change requests
• For assigned tasks, execute all actions in IS processes according to assigned roles and responsibilities
• Support the Maintenance team in incident and problem resolution
• Ensure work in the delivery domain is compliant with ABB standards
• Provide guidance or support to delivery teams, guiding and monitoring task completion, sharing expert knowledge and advice
• Delivers activities within agreed schedules, costs and quality
• Work with various stakeholders in IS and Business to design and implement solutions and ensure their alignment to scope and objectives
• Report progress to end-users, colleagues and Management
Module Responsibilities and Expectations
• Hands-on subject matter expertise in configuration and setup of Sales and Logistics processes like Product Sales, Services, FOC, Samples, Returns, Trading, STO, Intercompany Sales, Order and Delivery related Billing, and so on
• Ability to work with a global design template and make adjustments to suit local requirements
• Enhance the global design template by incremental improvements and new functionality that can benefit multiple Business stakeholders
• Sound knowledge in inter-modular integration such as FICO, COPA, MM, WM, PP, PS among others
• Skills and experience in interface with other ERP and non-ERP systems (e.g. idocs, RFCs) from design to implementation
• Knowledge of Revenue Recognition principles and the implementation options in SAP
• Understanding of master data design and interface with an external central MDM
• Special scenarios in Sales, e.g., Rebates, SD revenue recognition, Proof of delivery, Down payments and Billing Plans, Variant Configuration
• Excellent knowledge of pricing setup, configuration and enhancements
• Knowledge of Sales Order costing
• Knowledge of the Switch Framework and Business Function activation in SAP
• Creation of Logistic Information Systems based reports per user requirement
• Knowhow on FSCM Credit Management
• Configuration of taxation requirements like GST and VAT
• Knowledge of the LE Transportation module within ECC
• Working knowledge of the CS module within ECC
• Exposure to SAP products and add-ons like DMS, APO, and GTS is an advantage
• Experience in data migration and cutover
• Practical exposure to SAP authorisation management
• Working knowledge on EDI/Idoc and RFC-based interfaces; setup of partner profiles, creating segments, implementation of process codes and mapping logic, testing interfaces
• Ability to write Blueprint documents and Functional Specifications
• Ability to develop and qualify test cases from IS perspective to facilitate functional, integration and smoke testing
• Ability to read and debug ABAP code without relying on technical help
• Knowledge, Education, & Experience
  • Should have a minimum of 8 years of strong techno-functional SAP experience in projects and consulting in relevant modules
  • Strong Implementation experience in SAP SD and LE; at least two greenfield and/or brownfield implementation projects is a must
  • Exposure to global projects: should have worked in a global support centre (i.e. sensitivity to cross cultures, time zones, and so on)
  • Strong knowledge and experience in areas of integration
  • LSMW, BADI, BDC, BAPI / RFC, I-Docs, workflows, debugging, ABAP knowledge is essential
  • Knowledge of concepts of Value Flows from Sales to Controlling is important
  • Masters degree in technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience
  • SAP certification in a related module(s) is an advantage
