Expectations from the team: 1. Articulate / identify white-spaces in our focus / adjacent areas 2. Build a thesis on a) Where to play & b) How to win 3. Present a view on Build vs Buy; If buy - suggest investment, acquisition, partnership philosophy 4. Identify right companies to invest in 5. Enable integration to set initiative up for success; constantly provide strategy & operational support To summarize the corporate development & strategy team will lead the strategy for inorganic expansion / capability building and be held accountable for the short to medium term ( 12 months post integration) success of the same. Expectations from candidates Candidates are expected to lead / manage independent charters for a designated vertical. This will include doing working with business teams to understand strategic goals and perform white-space analysis, crystallize the strategic rationale, perform a sector scan, build investment thesis, identify prospects, presenting the case to the investment committee, closing the transaction with adequate commercial, financial and legal diligence and post transaction advisory support. The team is going to be a small but have a diverse mix of candidates from Investing, I-banking, Consulting & Entrepreneurial backgrounds. Expected background: 3-7 years of work-experience with atleast 2 years of working in investment banking, venture investing, consulting, entrepreneurial stint.
