Work with the Engineering team to develop and execute QA strategies to meet and exceed company and client quality goals. Monitoring of QA activities, including test results, leaked defects, providing root cause analysis and identifying areas of improvement for the project and QA team. Implement steps required to improve the processes. Evaluates and monitors tools, methodologies, and automation to ensure effective testing and identification of defects. Oversees user acceptance, alpha and beta testing efforts. Collaborate across teams to understand how our customers use our software and build a comprehensive set of test plans and test strategies. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from business operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Strong technical skills, both functional and non-functional, manual and automation Be an advocate of Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement and industry recognized Best Practices. Excellent knowledge of Risk Management, Risk Identification and Risked Based Testing. Excellent communicator, influencing skills and negotiation skills to get management buy-in on ideas and concepts. Act as a player/ coach and bring leadership and guidance to the software quality team across all facets of manual and automated testing efforts, also including security and performance testing. Management Able to motivate a team, recognize good talent and bring out the best out of each individual. QA Management experience across multiple projects, off-shore and in-house. Experience managing testing departments or testing functions, managing large and complex activities and processes. Evaluating tools and providing recommendation to teams The ability to mentor and prioritize work/ tasks under pressure. Skilled in conflict resolution Ability to build, implement and direct quality assurance principles and maintain the quality of delivery Personal Flexible with the ability to and work under pressure Proactive, strong-minded, critical thinker and assertive An individual who is self-motivated and enthusiastic Ability to manage change both on self and for the team Qualifications: B. S.
