Job Description

For more than 350 years and across the world we have passionately pursued our curiosity to find novel and vibrant ways of enhancing the lives of others.Role:The India eCommerce Lead will be responsible for implementing our comapnys eCommerce strategy across MerckMillipore.com and SigmaAldrich.com as well as driving high quality customer traffic and experience through an omnichannel marketing approach.Reporting to the Head of Research Services, India, based in Bangalore, this role will work strategically and in partnership with Global IT, eBusiness, Marketing & Creative teams, as well as directing local digital and content teams in order to maintain, optimize and develop web experience for India Distributors and Customers. The eCommerce Lead will be responsible for managing the ecommerce performance, enhancement roadmap, and implementing it with the support of global and local collaboration.Our Companyis looking for a strategic thinker and business-oriented Lead who is able to drive rapid eCommerce growth in India. The eCommerce Lead must have a data-driven approach to problem solving, good attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentJob Responsibilities:

  • Lead India eCommerce strategy and operational guidelines
  • Manage local web experience enhancement roadmap and budget
  • Liaise with the digital teams and gather needs and business requirements
  • Compile monthly recaps for senior management teams on global eCommerce business
  • Drive use of analytics tools (GA, Palantir Foundry, Tableau, Brightedge, Sprinklr) to identify actionable business opportunities and improvements on a monthly basis
  • Develop and present regular competitive analyses and audits of eCommerce best practices and convert analyses into insights and new ideas
  • Partner with design and development to execute site improvements, content strategy and new features roll-out
  • Implement eCommerce innovation projects to drive improvements in reach, engagement and user experience.
  • Drive organic channel shift to leverage efficiencies and improved customer experience
  • Lead effective Digital Marketing acquisition strategy by leveraging new tools, processes and best practices
  • Create and manage workplans, drive team resourcing, and provide weekly status reports on all active projects.
  • Create weekly executive management reports in collaboration with digital leadership.
  • Oversee execution of localised content, conversion optimisation and content strategy to engage and support high-quality SEO, and customer relevance
Experience & Skills
  • Min.Bachelors degree
  • A total of 15+ years of experience, with a Min of 5 years of experience in eCommerce expertise with proven experience of growing a brands eCommerce business rapidly, B2B preferred.
  • Experience in SalesForce, Eloqua, AEM, Google Ads/GA.
  • Science background or experience in Life Science organisations preferred.
  • Experience working in complex matrix organisation, collaborating and managing diverse stakeholders globally
  • Demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Well organized with excellent attention to detail and quality. Must be proactive in retrieving and following up on all assets necessary to get the job done.
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Can operate on strategic, tactical and operational level; preferably has strong skills in service culture and delivery, process standardization and optimization
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, passion, hands-on approach to building business opportunities.
  • Strong ability to contribute in a collaborative team environment
  • Self-directed and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple projects.
