Job Details : 1. Govern the generation of data analytics from the Banks systems as well as external sources ensuring the analytics capabilities are able to manage a globally complex and shifting demands from the Investment teams, Sales teams and Operations by leveraging modern analytic methods including machine learning.2. Globally lead the design and delivery of reporting applications and data tools for Asset Management3. Lead a team of Data Engineers to support data sourcing and the rollout of Cloud environments for AMG for analytics, and manage the pipeline of work in conjunction with the Global Chief Data Architect.4. Suggest remedial actions or escalate detections which give cause for concern5. Share information with stakeholders in suitable forms, these may be charts, tables or templates6. Ensure the Data within the Data Organisation remit is maintained and managed in accordance with group policies and support the Domain Data Stewards in delivering their data domain strategies7. Manage the provision of developmental activity for team members and oversee their work schedules to ensure optimum coverage for stakeholders8. Ensure that the team adhere to prevailing data standards, policies and regulations support multiple business locations in 5 time-zones, operating a shift system. The roles undertaken within the team are not replicated onshore and therefore the Head of Global Data & Analytics in Bangalore is required to build and retain a skilled workforce which are highly specialised in Asset Management functional processes and to ensure that AMG retains a competitive advantage locally in terms of staff development, recruitment and operations stabilityLocal Job Requirements (This could include; Job Dimensions, Job Context & Major Challenges):- Deploying Data Analytics capabilities and ongoing investment in Data Science methods are crucial components in achieving the Data Strategy for the Banks Global Asset Management (AMG). This role is an investment in core analytical skills and capabilities which AMG has started to grow and which is being leveraged to reduce costs of analysis and Business Intelligence within our peers.- Specifically, the role holder will lead the teams in Bangalore and work alongside Data Analytics colleagues in London. They will be expected to build relationships across AMG, at all levels. Within the Banking Group, they will work with Big Data and Data Science colleagues and AMG IT.- They will also be expected to contribute to the ongoing development of the AMG Data Strategy, in particular, but not limited to the Data Analytics roadmap.Experience / Education :1. Experience of leading a Data Analytics team. Setting standards, mentoring, work prioritization.2. Experience of designing and implementing a Data Analytics strategy in a financial services organization.3. Programming languages for data wrangling, analytics, and engineering4. Visualization technologies like Tableau (preferred), Qlik or other5. Working with third party service providers like Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform6. Experience as a Data Analyst in a regulated industry7. Proven track record of creating and delivering Analytical Insight and Business Intelligence8. Understanding of data modeling practices (Conceptual, Logical, Semantic) and how to design for Data Analytics9. Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities10. Ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal/external stakeholders11. Ability to bring analytical rigor and structure and effective solutions to poorly-defined problems12. Typical qualifications would include a Bachelors degree/equivalent13. Experience working with senior stakeholders in a global environment is desirableLeadership capabilities1.
