Urgent requirement for Head - Indirect TaxCandidates only from Pharma company can applyShould know Kannada languageAbout the Role :The Head Indirect Taxes is responsible for providing and managing Indirect Tax Team with support on all legislative, reimbursement and advocacy strategies, analysing the potential impact of government action to the business and influencing legislation, regulation, and policy in the pharmaceutical space which are aligned to organizational goals. The position will also be a member of the senior leadership responsible for overall strategy and development of the organization.Strategy :Collaborate with senior leadership to prepare Government Affairs strategies in various geographies, which is in line with the organizational goals and meets the expectations of internal and external stakeholders with respect to all Indirect taxes.Establish strong, strategic relationships with policymakers in executive and legislative branches and their staff.Identify critical opportunities in policy environment based on the companys strategic business objectives.Operations: Maintain a thorough understanding of legislative and regulatory processes, and awareness of the political, legislative, and regulatory landscape.Identify, analyse and communicate how potential changes in the external legislative, regulatory, policy, and political environments (both near and long term) could affect day-to-day operational business activities and impact patient access to medications.Collaborate with the Legal function on various matters including interpretation of existing and potential laws and regulations.Provide strategic support and guidance to the leadership team regarding policies that do or could affect product lifecycle, including in the areas of product development, regulatory submissions, distribution and reimbursement.Represent the company within industry trade associations and coalitions.Finance : Manage a budget and closely monitor all the incentives and minimise the cashflow on account of GSTns.Human Capital :Ensure capability development of talent in line with short-term and long-term strategic vision of the organization.Drive critical talent development and succession planning for the function.Identify and build talent development interventions in co-ordination with HR to build critical competencies for short term and long-term business growth for the Small Molecules business unit.Around 18 years of experience in handling government affairs in the pharmaceutical industry, with 6-8 years of experience in at a leadership levelA solid working knowledge of existing law including SEZ,GST, DGFT and other regulations and policies applicable to the pharmaceutical industryTechnical:Strategic Business AcumenExecute with DisciplineEntrepreneurial OrientationBuild Collaborative & Networking PartnershipsBehavioural:Influence to EngageExecutive PresenceNurture & Develop TalentEmotional IntelligenceQualification: CA; Work Location Electronic City, BangaloreInterested candidate can mail their resumes on namratapatel@sevajobs.comRegards:Namrata Patel810447903Seva Jobs
