Position Database AdministratorAvailability From At the earliestQualification Diploma/Bachelor/Master DegreeLevel T7Experience 8 - 12 YearsWork Location Bangalore24x7 Shifts YesJob Responsibilities - Providing 24/7 remote support. Responsible for physical database architecture and design, development, performance tuning, implementation, and support of the applications from a database perspective. Define and implement database, SQL standards and best practices. Work closely with application developers to test, configure, and optimize servers based on application demands. Review contention for CPU, memory, network, and disk resources and come up with the remediation plan. Identifying, reviewing and resolving Deadlocks and blockings. Identifying and .resoling all the DB related long running jobs. Ensuring database security, integrity, stability and system availability. Work with large volume, heavy load databases Conduct T- SQL Code Reviews to ensure coding standards, best practices and avoid potential performance issues. Ensure the all the Security patches is applied as per the defined time line. Tracking of DB EOL s/ EOS product version and have the implemenation plan in place for the upgrades or migrations. Reporting (on daily basis) tracking and immediate closer for all the Critical and High DB alerts. Proactive Capacity planning and resource optimization of all Database Infrastructure. Perform In-place /cross platform/ cross Database migrations. Maintain the latest security patches/Vulnerability FIX. Provide the Outage reports. Provide RCA (with 5Why or Bone Fish methodology) with the complete preventive measures for CRITICAL and HIGH priority incidents/Applications. Monitor and maintain system health and security Design backup/recovery processes for server and associated data. Ensure Regular DB Backup (as per agreed schedule) and recovery is performing.Required Skills Mandatory Core level expert (Primary) in any (or all) of the below technology.1. Oracle (9 till 19c) with RAC/DataGuard (HA DR Solutions) 2. MS SQL Server (2008R2 till 2019) (Clustering/Always-On)3. PostgreSQL/MYSQL (8 till 11).4. IBM DB2.5. MySQL Must have working experience other than Primary DB technology 1. Oracle (9 till 19c) with RAC/Data guard implementation and 2. MS SQL Server (2008R2 till 2019) (Clustering/Always-On)3. PostgreSQL/MYSQL (8 till 11).4. MySQL5. IBM DB2Good understanding and basic handling skills on NOSQL products like MongoDB, Cassandra etc.Good administration skill on Operating System mandatory on LINUX(SUSE/UBUNTU)/AIX/Windows.Excellent understanding and implementation experience on HA-DR solution with OS Clusters /DB Cluster /RAC/Always-On etc.Good knowledge on Infra components like Virtualization, Networking and Storage Concepts. Good understanding of DB Services on any of the Cloud technologies. Excellent Scripting Skills with Shell/PowerShell/Python/Pearl Script. Good understanding of T-SQL/PL SQL DB code. Good in reading and writing complex stored procedures, views, and triggers. Experience in writing technical documentation. Good knowledge on application components like DotNet/Java etc.Non-Technical Skills Excellent communication skills required (written & verbal). Experience in managing technical and inter and intrateam relationships. Strong analysis, problem solving and decision-making. Good Understanding of ITIL and or Agile Methodology. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, where the technology is constantly changing. Good communication, teamwork and negotiation skills. Self-discipline and works well within a team or individually. End to end responsibility on Incident - problem ownership and closer. Supporting L2 and L1 teams based on the business situation. Always ready to support as per business requirement or need of the situation. Flexibility and adaptability. The ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure.,
