Liaise with clients and business representatives to understand the needs of businessLiaise with other professionals to design solution architecture for businesses and clientsCreate and review architecture and solution design artifactsEvangelize re-use through consumption and expansion of shared platformsEnforce adherence to architectural standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, usability design standards, etc.Proactively provide guidance on DevSecOps methodologies, standards and leading practicesGuidance of engineering staff and reviews of as-built configurations during construction phaseProvide insight and direction on roles and responsibilities required for platform/product operationsIdentify, communicate and mitigate Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Decisions throughout full lifecycleUsing strategic thinking, consider the art of the possible, compare various options based on feasibility and impact, propose actionable plans and roadmaps that balance tactical and strategic needsEnsure that solution architecture (software and programs) designed are in sync with business needsReview the proposal of vendors and suppliers to ensure that quality inputs are delivered at the least possible costMonitor the activities of external programmers or developers on IT solution projectsSupervision Responsibilities:The role is primarily an individual contributor in the global Shared Business Platforms: Design & Engineering team; works with architecture leaders and peers, project managers, engineers, business analysts and business stakeholders to drive a project s progress and ensure success.Skills Requirements:Must be able to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbalExcellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills that are required to operate as a leading member of global, distributed teams that deliver quality services and solutionsAble to distill complex technical challenges to actionable decisions for stakeholdersDefining and negotiating the intersection of complex system dependencies and interactionsGuide project teams by building consensus and mediating compromises when necessaryExcellent technical architecture skills in the context of global platform/product design, service management and lifecycle managementAbility to rapidly explore and navigate complex and evolving organizational structuresAbility to rapidly learn new and emerging technologies and developing a vision of their suitability and role as a new product within a platform landscapeRequired Qualifications:Bachelor s Degree or equivalency (CS, CE, CIS, IS, MIS, or engineering discipline)Minimum of 15+ years overall IT industry experienceMinimum of 5+ years in a solution architecture role using service and hosting solutions such as private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platforms.Minimum of 2+ years in a platform/product architecture roleExperience in architecting and designing technical solutions for Microsoft-centric and/or Open Source solutions based on industry standards using any Microsoft Azure service.Experience with any of the following: O365, Azure, Azure Stack, Azure ADExperience with any claims based authentication (SAML/OAuth/OIDC), MFA, JIT, and/or RBACKnowledge of cloud security controls including tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls, SIEM, etc.Experience with mission critical technology components with DR capabilitiesExperience with multi-geo, multi-tier service design and managementDesired QualificationsConfiguration management and automation tools such as Ansible, DSC, Puppet, Chef, Salt, etc.Software development full lifecycle methodologies, patterns, frameworks, libraries and toolsProgramming and scripting languages such as JavaScript, PowerShell, Bash, SQL, .NET, Java, Python, PHP, Ruby, PERL, C#, etc.Relational, graph and/or unstructured data technologies such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, HD Insights, Hadoop, Cloudera, MongoDB, MySQL, Neo4j, Cassandra, CouchbaseData movement and transformation technologies such as Aspera, MoveIT, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Pentaho, AlteryxVisualization tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, PowerBI, D3, ScrapinghubData Analytics tools including Azure Stream Analytics, SQL Analytics, Data Lakes Analytics, SPSSAI and Machine Learning tools such as Azure ML, Watson, AWS, etc.Delivery using common methodologies especially SAFe Agile but also Waterfall, Iterative etc.Certification Requirements (at least one):Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, TOGAF, Zachman, ITIL, Cisco, (ISC)2, CEH, SAFe, PMI, etc.,
