Job Description

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In this role, you will work closely with the Legal, Compliance, ERM, Cyber Security and BiTS functions to develop and maintain data privacy standards applicable to the business in compliance with the GDPR and other data privacy laws. Duties for various roles are consolidated below. Roles & Responsibilities: Implementing measures and a privacy governance framework to manage data use in compliance with the data privacy laws like GDPR, CCPA PIPL etc. Understanding of other major data privacy and protection frameworks like CHINA MLPS 2.0 and evolving legislation worldwide Working with key internal stakeholders in the review of projects, contracts , RFP , RFI and Scope of work / Statement of work documents Carry out Project reviews , Vendor risk assessments and advise on privacy impact assessments. Serving as the primary point of contact for Data Privacy related queries from the business. Reviewing Customer/ Vendor contracts. Implementing projects in partnership with the Information Security functions. Ensure fulfilling Data Protection requirements. Privacy By Design concepts. Participating in the Data Privacy / Information Governance discussions. Should have knowledge in cyber security frameworks Monitoring changes to international data privacy laws and making recommendations inline with amendments in law Setting standards and reviewing policies and procedures globally that meet the requirements under the GDPR and any local laws requirements in countries of operation. Developing and delivering privacy training to various business functions to raise employee awareness of data privacy and protection issues Developing strategies and initiatives to ensure engagement with key internal and external stakeholders. Coordinating and conducting data privacy audits. Knowledge of ISO 27001 , ISO 27701 and 27018 is preferable Maintaining a Privacy incident management to ensure timely remediation of incidents including privacy impact assessments, security breach response, complaints, claims or notifications, and responding to subject access requests (SARs). Qualifications: Qualification Degree in BE/B. Tech ( Computer EXTC/ELX /IT ) or Law degree from an accredited law school Any Privacy certification such as CIPP, CIPT,ISO 27701, CIPM etc. is preferable Background / Experience 8- 10 years experience within a compliance, legal, audit or risk functions. Sufficient knowledge of information security and data management systems Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the company Experience of working in a large, global organization Ability to work unsupervised, exercise leadership, and influence change. Strong change and project management skills, including the ability to prioritize task effectively and handle multiple deadlines. Detail-oriented approach needed to recommend and implement strategic Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.,
