Our talented employees exemplify our shared values and continue to drive our company to new heights.If you see a position that might be right for you, we encourage you to apply and continue to be a part of our EPIC2 community.Job DescriptionThe CPBU Engineering Operations group is looking to hire a Data Engineer who loves working on complex problems and getting things doneYou will be interfacing with data analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and develop new datasets that bring Engineering efficiency ,Developer productivity and test data in our data warehouse . You will participate in all the development phases of dashboards including requirements, design, coding, unit testing, debugging and performance tuning. Day-to-day activities may include:

  • Participate in key architecture and design discussions
  • Own and deliver key product metrics
  • Capture the right metrics to influence the stakeholders and measure success of the projects
  • Develop queries for ad hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting
Role and Responsibilities
  • Understand the business capability/requirements and transform them into robust design solutions
  • Perform hands on work using Python, able to write complex SQL s, understand API and be able to consume/write API s as needed
  • Perform report development using enterprise tools such as Tableau, and other open source reporting platforms.
  • Perform hands on work using Kafka, Informatica to build next generation near real time data analytics platform.
  • Protect data integrity and accuracy. Perform root cause analysis of issues that hinder the data quality. Work with data source owner to increase quality and accuracy of the source data.
  • Help data consumers to correctly understand and use the data and dashboard.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years experience in a software development role and a deep knowledge of software development methodologies including Agile
  • 8 years of relevant experience in business intelligence role, including data warehousing, business intelligence tools, query techniques and technologyExperience with complex data analysis, diving deep and coming up with effective and scalable solutions
  • Excellent knowledge of Oracle SQL, Mongo DB ,Excel, ETL. Using databases in environment with large-scale complex datasets. Experience with scripting technologies like Python is big plus.
  • Experience with setup and maintenance of data marts and data mining
  • Experience with setting up reporting dashboards using technologies like Tableau, Power BI
  • Experience with design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, data analysis, dashboards, etc to drive key business decisions.
