IFRS Audit Consultant IFRS Audit Consultant The Consultant will perform independent desk- top review Indian GAAP financial statements / IFRS before sign- off to ensure compliance with accounting standards and other disclosure requirements. Doing research on technical issues raised by engagement teams for consultation (PPG act as an expert group for technical accounting/ auditing issues) Some of the job responsibilities are, Job profile . Preparation of firms guidance on new pronouncements . Providing technical support to engagement teams for executing IFRS engagements . Identfying and executing projects related to IFRS, providing advisory services on IFRS and its accounting process etc. . Evaluation of the processes, advisory on risk parameters, relationship management, risk mgmt and strategy development. Knowledge Management activities . Providing regular updates on accounting/ auditing/ regulatory changes to client facing personnel on IFRS . Conducting Internal trainings and preparation of tools and templates Thought leadership / Marketing . Participate in thought leadership initiatives - newsletter/ technical bulletins/ conferences etc. . Assistance to engagement teams in IFRS proposals Qualifications . Chartered Accountant (first attempt) and or an MBA from a premier institute . Exposure to IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) US GAAP will be an added advantage . 8- 10 years of post- qualification experience in a consulting role with established CA firms.
