Job Description

Job: Information Risk Management - Risk AnalyticsPrimary Location: BangaloreResponsibilities for Risk Analyst

  • Analyze data to better understand potential risks, concerns and outcomes of decisions
  • Aggregate data from multiple sources to provide a comprehensive assessment
  • Create reports, summaries, presentations and process documents to display results
  • Collaborate with other team members to effectively analyze and present data
  • Develop systems and processes for gathering and storing data for future analytic projects
  • Identify cyber and technological risk trends that may present a risk to the company
  • Monitor internal and external data points that may affect the risk level of a decision
Technical Qualifications/Requirements
  • Technology Risk and Control Expertise
    • Have a strong background in Cyber and Technology Risk and Control domains
    • Strong technical knowledge in the areas of application, network, cyber, data and cloud security. Hands on experience with solution design and assessment will be given extra weightage.
    • Strong skills in security principles such as defense in depth, least privilege, preventive vs reactive controls, data privacy and protection, incident response, industry standards like PCI DSS, ISO 27001, GLBA, GDPR and NIST/DoD frameworks.
    • Experience with enterprise risk management methods and techniques to drive successful outcomes in a global enterprise environment.
    • Ability to understand and correlate the risk data from various sources and effectively use it to monitor/showcase risk to the firm.
    • Experience in executive level risk reporting and visualization will be given additional weightage.
  • Information System Design
    • Hands on experience in the design and development of software and web applications using languages like Java, Python, etc.
    • Hands on experience in conducting application security reviews, code reviews, design review, architecture review, etc.
    • Experience delivering or supporting information systems using extract, translate, load (ETL) and publishing methods
    • Understanding the core concepts of data quality how to measure and improve. Ability to analyze data for data quality gaps
    • Ability to use industry standard tools to create logical and physical data models for technology infrastructure and reference data
    • Hands on experience working with database technologies, including Oracle, SAP, SQL / NoSQL platforms, visualization applications such as QlikView or Tableau
    • Familiarity with writing SQL queries and working with databases
    • Working knowledge of Big Data programming environments and Competency in major analytics software packages and programming environments (e.g. Hadoop / Map-Reduce, Mahout; Python, R, Java etc. in Big data paradigms)
  • Data Science Experience
    • Strong hands on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP)
    • Experience in using frameworks like NLTK, SkLearn, Spacy, Gensim, Pytorch, TensorFlow, etc.
    • Experience in implementing Machine Learning and Deep Learning models for Predictive Analysis and Descriptive Analytics
Soft Skills/attributes required for this Role
  • 12+ years of experience in managing cyber and technology risk at a large multinational company
  • Excellent organizational skills with experienced in working in a Global organization is preferred
  • Strong communication skills ability to provide clarity and focus to projects while working with both engineering groups as well as senior management
  • Strong presentation skills ability to create professional presentations and present clear stories to large audiences
  • Self-motivated desire to take on increasing responsibility over time
  • Autonomous ability to understand their role in depth and make decisions independently
  • Good negotiation skills in driving a win-win solution with partners.
