Infrastructure Monitoring Analyst Level II Description: Enterprise Monitoring is responsible for the development and operation of a suite tools and processes to enable proactive events and performance monitoring of critical enterprise IT services such as servers, network devices, operating systems, database engines, storage capacity, and applications across all IT service lines, for early identification and resolution of operational problems or other special conditions.Technical Skills: 2to 3 years of experience in Provide Operational support for a suite of enterprise system monitoring and management tools including: 2 to 3 years of experience in HP Operations Manager (ESM) Linux - OML Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (Microsoft SCOM) Experience with HP Operations Management suite on Linux OML (former HP Open View), Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (Microsoft SCOM) and Splunk agents and data feeds. Develops complex Perl/Shell scripts to build customized monitoring and interfaces with other tools Programming/scripting languages such as Perl, Kornshell (ksh), or Shell (sh) Advanced skills in UNIX / LINUX operating system, commands, and vi text editor Understand the 7 Layers of the OSI Model as well a the Client/Servers services foundation - Knowledge of Domain Name Service and network name resolution of client computers ,
