Job Description

As a Infrastructure support Engineer you will help build a meaningful engineering discipline, combining software and systems to support existing engineering solutions to operations problems. Much of our support focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and reducing work through automation in our vCF environments. You ll join a team of curious problem solvers with a diverse set of perspectives who are thinking big and taking risks. In this environment you ll take the lead on relevant projects, supported by an organization that provides the support and mentorship you need to learn and grow.You will join the Global ESX Infrastructure Support team and leverage your knowledge of vSphere, NSX and vCF platforms and infrastructure automation to affect change.The right person for this role will have:

  • Experience with VMware NSX-T a strong plus
  • Four or more years experience in network engineering, software development, or systems engineering, constantly seeking to be an expert. You take pride in self-mastery and knowledge development.
  • Strong computing fundamentals
  • A passion for building software, and a long-term career as a software technologist
  • Demonstrated leadership in an agile team
  • Strong communications, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with multiple teams, and both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency in service-level changes to a system and troubleshooting components with VMware vCF environments
  • Experience as a VMware ESXi system engineer in an Enterprise class environment with vSAN
  • Experience in large-scale, dynamic, high-availability production environments
  • Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions
  • Build and drive adoption for greater self-healing and resiliency patterns
  • Lead and participate in performance tests; identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demand
