Job Description

As an experienced Infrastructure Support professional, youll be making decisions of a global and strategic nature that impact our customers, clients, and businesses around the globe. Your expertise in analyzing complex systems, anticipating problems, and finding ways to mitigate risk, will be key in leading a high performing team to successfully provide first-class infrastructure service to our customers, clients, and businesses around the globe each and every day. By incorporating your knowledge of Windows platform and infrastructure automation, you will affect change and lead development of innovative improvements and world-class practices. Your team will be responsible for driving operational stability and reliability in a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) operating model, and theyll look to you to provide the technical leadership to move them forward.   • Provide technical leadership and guidance to staff and other business partners to promote operational excellence
  • Champion in continuous process improvement, performance management, and metrics-driven results
  • Lead root cause analysis meetings as part of process improvement
  • Develop and support routine operational activities with automation
  • Act as primary customer interface for day to day issues and queries
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in the following areas:
    • Technological, Organizational and/or Operational change management
    • Risk and Controls
    • Partnership and Influence
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure components and how they are tracked and managed in various systems
  • Knowledge of Hardware architecture and security
  • A solid understanding of Windows server infrastructure and its underpinning architecture components in a very large scale enterprise environment
  • Knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language, such as Power shell, Python, or Perl
  • Knowledge of DevOps and SRE principles
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and practices
  • Experience with ITIL processes - Incident Management and Change Management required
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget
  • Ability to articulate to more experienced management a technical strategy in clear, concise, understandable terms
  • Thinks creatively to deliver solutions through continuous improvement
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to articulate technical and non-technical information and understands when to escalate issues
  • 10+ years of experience in Windows OS versions, including Windows 2008 R2, Windows 2012, Windows 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2016 (GUI and Core)
  • Advanced Knowledge of Windows core peripheral services such as TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, Active Directory and HA Cluster configuration
  • Advanced Knowledge of SCOM, SCCM, WSUS, Symantec CCM SEP, NetBackup, Splunk and Snare
  • Knowledge of Hardware Architecture (HP/DELL/Cisco UCS systems along with Lights Out cards such as ILOs and IDRACs)
  • Experience with Storage Technology (SAN, NAS, DAS) and associated components such as HBAs, Windows Native MPIO
  • Working experience with Veritas Volume Manager and associated technologies
  • Knowledge of resiliency technologies (SRDF, Doubletake-like solutions)
  • Working Experience on VMWare technology and ESX server
  • Experience with troubleshooting network routing issues
