We are seeking a highly motivated Networking engineer to develop industrial switching, routing, wireless, embedded and security products and industry-leading software platforms that capitalize on the trend toward all devices, machines, and vehicles becoming connected and integrated with traditional enterprise networks.As a Senior Systems and solution test engineer, you will work on qualifying products that are deployed by many different vertical markets such as discrete and process manufacturing, smart cities, oil and gas, etc. Experience the exhilaration as you work on designing how next-gen products & solutions are deployed and collaborating with not just your immediate team, but across teams at Cisco. Expertise in Layer2/Layer3 protocols, deep product knowledge of switches/routers/wireless, knowledge on Industrial protocols say CIP, PRP, HSR, Profinet with strong Python script development knowledge , as well as good communication skills and ability to work with a cross-functional and geographically diverse team is expectedSkills:A qualified candidate will possess:

• MS/BS in computer science or engineering
• 2 - 4 years of the experience on System and solution testing.
• Experience in technical lead/team lead role
• Extensive experience with one of the following languages (python, TCL, Perl)
• Depth Knowledge on networking concepts Layer2, Layer3 and so on.
• Strong technology awareness of switches, routers and wireless access points
• Strong Linux background with hands-on experience
• Familiarity with software release process
• Develop topology based on test requirements and setting up the test bed
• Very good troubleshooting skills and work with less supervision and follow-up. Commitment to customer success is key to this role
• Experience in an agile development organization
• a passion for learning an self-improvement
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• CCNP/CCIE certification is a value-add
• Strong communication (verbal, writing and presentation) skills.

Good to have:

• Experience of PTP/1588, SyncE, networking protocols and industrial protocols is a plus.
• Experience using Traffic Generators/Analyzers such as Ixia/Spirent/Sniffer
• Excellent knowledge of L2/L3 technologies: LAN (Ethernet, QoS, VLAN, 802.1q/.1p, QinQ, IGMP, etc), WAN (DHCPv4/v6, PIM, NAT, ), TCP/IP fundamentals, multicast protocols, network synchronization, segment routing, SDN, manageability (telemetry, gRPC, SNMP, Netconf/Yang, etc.)
