Job Description

Joining us means joining a truly global community of more than 75 000 people dedicated to solving real-world mobility challenges and achieving international projects with sustainable local impact.Reporting to the IS&T D&IS Software Engineering Solutions , you will be in charge of the harmonization of D&IS application landscape, and you will act as a control tower to ensure overall consistency on its applicative landscape. Main responsabilities
    • Ensure alignment with Metiers global business processes for Engineering solutions
    • Collect and manage demands from central Business
    • Inventory and classify Metiers applications, contribute to the definition of the core application landscape
    • Design application architecture regarding alstom patterns and application landscape
    • Prepare recommendations for decisions-making at Change Control Board
    • Model and maintain solution referential & design documentation
    • Promote Alstom Core Model, by leading evolution and ensuring its consistency
    • Contribute to all phases of applications lifecycle from definition, architecture, design trough implementation, debugging, testing and early support
    • Support operations teams with regards to critical incidents
    • Control quality of partners deliverables
    • Contribute to business processes development and improvement
    • Build best practices on development activities and continuous improvement
    • Analyze technology industry and business trends and determine their potential applicability at Alstom
    • Support roll-out, ensuring that Core Model is applied
    Educational Requirements
    • Graduated from an engineering degree, preferably in information technology
    Experience
    • More than 10 years of experience in solution architecture on various roles (business / functional architecture / core model definition, solution deployment)
    Competencies & Skills Describe the needed skills (technical & behavioral)
    • Solid knowledge on business processes from requirement management to verification and validation
    • Deep technical knowledge on software engineering solutions (especially in railway and safety context) regarding architecture and development/customization
    • Strong knowledge in ClearCase and Synergy
    • Worked for global companies either as a service provider or as a customer, ideally both roles
    • Good knowledge on IT infrastructure systems: server, database, network and storage
    • Experienced in industrialization of home-made developments
    • Strong written, communication, and presentation skills. You are result oriented and show intellectual curiosity and creativity
    • Very strong leadership and are business value oriented
    • Fluent in English, you are eager to work with autonomy in an international environment and to face the challenges of the new Alstom
