Duties, responsibilities, and expectations may be added, deleted, or modified at any time at the discretion of the supervisor.Responsibilities related to IT Assets -
• Ensure that all the IT assets are managed as per the processes described in TIPLs IT Asset Management policy
• Review and maintain Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to monitor and manage all devices and assets
• Work collaboratively with TIPLs IT support team, Procurement team, Admin & Facilities team to ensure end-users are serviced with the right IT assets on time.
• Actively encourage users in making more effective use of IT assets to enable them to work more efficiently.
• Manage and maintain the life cycle of devices to include provisioning, repairing, and de-commissioning to ensure the efficient and effective use of assets.
• Raise material request for IT Hardware, Software (new & renewal) & projects, work with procurement team & supplier, if applicable till delivery/implementation
• Responsible for the issuance, audit, and return of assets, managing the requests for loan hardware, including the recall of loaned items, to ensure the hardware items can be tracked and managed.
• IT inventory movement across stores main store, backup store, scrap store is in accordance with the TIPLs IT Asset management policy
• Controls IT assets in one or more stores, ensuring that administration of the acquisition, storage, distribution, movement, and disposal of assets is carried out efficiently and in accordance with IT Asset Management and TIPL Assets Disposal policy
• Ensures that there are no unauthorized assets such as unlicensed copies of the software in TIPL IT assets.
• Ensures that asset requests are handled according to agreed procedures. For all requests that cannot be resolved, provides an effective interface between users and the IT/procurement department. Uses judgment to set priority for resolution, monitor progress, and apply escalation procedures for problems not progressing satisfactorily.
• Strictly manage the asset inventory, maintain information of software license, accessories, consumables, SLA details & warranties for the organizations software and hardware in ITSM tool.
• Apply a continuous improvement approach in enhancing the strategies in tracking & managing company assets within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) throughout their lifecycle
• Ensure effective management of the CMDB and that the content contained is accurate
• Participate and Support projects where IT Asset Management (Dept.) is a stakeholder, providing support to Business Units, Finance & IT Application team
• Responsible for managing the lifecycle of hardware and software models in ITSM tool right from their introduction to their retirement (or) disposal as per Government.
• Support procurement, finance, and IT team in retirement/disposal of IT assets in accordance with TIPLs Assets Disposal policy and to meet government regulations related to waste/e-waste management.
• Perform physical asset verification and audit of IT assets with CMBD system content, verify software assets with license contracts, confirm hardware assets with actual inventory / Finance books, and present the report to TIPL Management
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
• Bachelor degree with specialization in IT/Management/Administration (B.Sc-IT, BCA, BIT, BMIT, BBA, any other degree)
• Required:
  • 5+ years experience in Asset Management / IT Asset Management / IT Store Management / Inventory Management
  • Experience in using IT applications related to Inventory management, IT service management.
  • Understanding of processes related to Assets management/Store management / Inventory Management
• Strong plus:
  • Experience in using IT service management tools like Service Now or Symphony Summit
  • Experience in IT applications for procurement
  • Experience of advanced functions of MS Excel like charts, graphs, pivots
  • Exposure the Procurement and logistics procedures.
• Soft skills :
  • Knowledge of how IT systems are structured and deployed
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills in English, both oral and written are required
  • The candidate must possess good organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to dynamic business needs
