TEIS is well embedded within TE Connectivity s business spread across the globe. TEIS has more than 2000+ IT workers globally spread across various functional teams for building and supporting the business services for TE Connectivity.Job Summary:This incumbent is expected to be a member of the team that supports the global Backup and Recovery environment. The incumbent will be responsible for providing support as part of a global team that provides data Backup & recovery support via follow the sun support model. As a member of the team, the incumbent will support an environment that is geographically dispersed. In addition to routine daily support, the team will support new solutions (hardware, software and operating systems) as they are identified.Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, implement, troubleshoot backup/recovery solutions (Commvault, Veeam)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with vendors troubleshooting third party applications
  • Ability to work with large groups responding to high priority issues
  • Provide training and mentorship to other professional employees
Competencies:
  • 7-12 years of experience in managing enterprise backup solutions
  • Knowledge of server side for SAN/NAS/Backup administration to include HBA configuration, SAN/DMP/Backup Software installation
  • Good understanding of VMware technologies. Network knowledge, including bandwidth, NIC configuration, CIFS, NFS and NDMP is required
  • Disk administration, strong network skill set to configure, manage and test network settings.
  • Exposure to Snapshot based backups. Experience in Database backups. Knowledge on AD, Exchange & SharePoint. Exposure to OS and Databases.
  • Strong Unix shell and Windows command or PowerShell scripting required
  • Knowledge and ability to manage Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network Area Storage (NAS) with FC switches
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Incident and problem management tools such as ServiceNow
  • Commvault certifications preferred
  • IT Project Management
