Because it s the best-run businesses that make the world run better and improve people s lives.IT Technology Senior Consultant, DB (HANA & ASE) (Managed Cloud Delivery Unit ) Summary:As part of Managed Cloud Delivery Unit and SAP s IT-infrastructure provider and is responsible for running SAP s backend technology including operations of state of the art datacenters as well as client technology around the globe.Within Managed Cloud Delivery Unit, Technical consultant is responsible for the operations of important and critical External Customer SAP systems and applications embedded in an international delivery approach.Role:As IT Technical Consultant you will be responsible for the:

  • Delivery of complex SAP Landscapes by providing technical expertise and support.
  • Planning, setup, implementation and operation of SAP technologies achieving ambitious SLA requirements
  • Proper documentation, definition of technical operational concepts and guidelines for the implemented SAP landscapes and roll out of this information/knowledge to the rest of the team
  • Coordination of international teams in global projects
  • Willingness to take on call duty/Weekend tasks.
  • Willingness to work on APJ/EMEA time zones
Role Requirements:
  • BE/B.Tech/MCA/B.Sc(Comp),M.Sc(Comp),BCA from a well reputed institute
  • Project member experience in an international environment and ability to work effectively in international and virtual teams
  • Strong capabilities in the area of technical documentation
  • Capacity to continuously acquire new knowledge in an independent, proactive way
  • Good analytical and solution oriented thinking
  • Very good communication and networking skills
  • Strong customer service focus
  • 10+ years of database support experience (any database flavor) in a Linux/UNIX production environment
  • Weightage for resources from SAP ASE, HANA background & experience
  • Strong Knowledge on RDBMS architecture and concepts
  • Experience in a mission critical , multi database environment with large number of database systems
  • Experience in planning & executing production database changes (installations, upgrades, critical restores, DB maintenance jobs etc.)
  • Sound Knowledge in Incident mgmt. & Change mgmt. processes
Preferable
  • ITIL Certification.
  • Cloud database operational experience
  • Handling vendor managed services
