The candidate will be part of team of L1 Operations (Ops) Engineers who will be responsible for the initial triage of issues. They will work closely with the e2e service experience team and the VNF owners in resolving incidents and problems and managing changes to the network. L1 Ops engineers will be junior engineers and will have a career path progressing towards NRE (Network Reliability Engineering) engineers.1. Process Definitiona. Define L1 operational proceduresb. Define Method of Proceduresc. Define Standard Operational Procedures2. Define Operational Matrixa. Arrive at operational matrixb. Measurement techniques and mechanism : automation candidatesc. L1 to L2/L3 handoffs3. Measurement criteria and mechanisma. Measure operational parameters such as #of Defects, TAT, Auto closure etc.b. Measure efficiency improvement and gains vis a vis baseline.c. Proactive monitoring and resolution of NFVI and VNF issuesd. Provide dashboards to show real time performance of networke. Work closely with E2E service and VNF teamsRequirement: Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or its equivalent. Min 1 - 4 years experience in telco operations environment, preferably in Network monitoring/L1 Operations role Able to travel as required for short & long durations at onsite to Japan Practical knowledge in Agile and DevOps environments, open source technologies and related tools. Knowledge/Experience in Continuous Integration and Automated Testing Key Skills: Soft skills : Willingness to learn and flexible attitude Ability to lead, develop and maintain respectful and trusting relationship; Adaptable to flexible working hours Proficient in written and spoken English. Any Japanese language capability will be an advantage Adaptable to high demand Japanese culture of extreme customer orientation, and high quality and service levels,
