Lab Support Engineer 2Lab Support Engineering is at the heart of a worldwide lab operations team providing 24x7 lab access, service and solutions support in multiple locations. What s more, they work with engineering teams to create hardware configuration test plans in support of software development.Join us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Lab Support Engineer 2 on our Lab Support Engineering Team in Bangalore.What you ll achieve As a Lab support Engineer 2, you will be responsible for the deployment of new servers and storage arrays. You will Monitor and troubleshoot in a Data center environment the technical environments encompassing Compute, Connectivity (fiber channel) SAN, and Enterprise Storage. You will be working with start-of-the-art Dell Technology equipment and platforms. You will:
• Be responsible for assisting in the design of the computing infrastructure within the lab computing environment.
• Be responsible for deployment of new servers and storage arrays. Monitor and troubleshoot the technical environment for problems.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all documented processes and procedures. Identify system performance issues and develop tools for better system management.
• Ensure that all services are consistently available to all end users.
• Complete proactive and preventative system upgrades. Maintain accurate hardware inventory records.

• Bachelors degree with 2 to 5 years of work experience with VMWare tools like Virtual Centers, NSX and VSAN
• Experience working with Operating Systems - Windows, Unix Linux and Solaris.
• Good knowledge about Network Layrer2 network switch administration
• Good understanding of SAN - Fiber Channel switching and zoning / building and creating a zone
• Good experience with server troubleshooting
Desirable Requirements
• Understand and follow technical process documentation
• Adhere to Administrative processes: queue management, work ticket hygiene
