Job Description

*

  • Ability to perform all technical work relevant to Microbiology.
  • Staining of smear and inoculation of all culture
  • To perform staining as required of all clinical and culture material.
  • To inoculate routine bacterial, aerobic and anaerobic cultures/fungal/water analysis and other HS culture.
  • Myobacterial culture techniques.
  • Performing routine and special serological tests.
  • To independently prepare simple and complex media and reagents.
  • Sampling for hospital surveillance.
  • Independent interpretation of smear/culture/serology tests.
  • To perform tests requiring special skills.
  • To report about hospital surveillance. Direct administrative responsibility over of Attender.
  • Management of stores and maintenance of stock.
  • Responsible for conduct of lab personnel
  • To maintain confidentiality of the hospital surveillance reports.
  • Stores management and stock maintenance department.
  • For Oversee the smooth functioning of the department
  • Coordinate the process of starting a new test
