Description
SUMMARY
The Lead Application Engineer is responsible for providing world - class assistance to customers in the usage of Semiconductor BU products, to leverage customer knowledge and relationship to proliferate new solutions, as well as to use domain & customer knowledge to drive new products development. knowledge and experience in the areas of SoC Physical design, Custom circuit analysis, Power - integrity and Reliability sign - off, Timing and Noise analysis with various CAD tools to help customers solve complex problems on leading edge System - on - Chips. domain - knowledge and knowledge of customer workflows to drive development of new state - of - the - art products/solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Support / Proliferation
Product Engineering
Leverage knowledge gained from customer workflows and challenges to drive development of new products / solutions. Perform / lead in - depth validation to ensure the new solution meets the requirements. Work with advanced customers to develop early proof - points and successful deployments.
Pre - sales Assistance
Consistently improve our understanding of customer workflow and technical needs and communicate new opportunities and risks to Sales; proactively work to grow the software usage by demonstrating new solutions based on the ANSYS vision and software
Leadership
Hold progress update meetings with global and local customers Mentor AE team by using tool knowledge and domain expertise
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
BE / ME in Electronics Engineering / VLSI with a minimum of 6 years of experience in the areas of SoC backend design / Timing and noise analysis / Voltage drop & reliability effects Excellent understanding / experience of ASIC design flow from RTL to GDS Domain expertise in the area of On - chip and System level Power Noise and Reliability Analysis Sound knowledge of EDA data formats such as LEF DEF, GDSII, Liberty, STA, SPEF/DSPF, etc. UNIX operating systems and proficiency in scripting using Perl / TCL / Python Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and presentation skills Demonstrated track record of working with cross - functional groups / organizations and developing key customer relationships
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
8 - 10 years of experience Consistent record of independent time and project management, meeting objectives and deadlines with minimal supervision, ability to collaborate and work effectively with diverse staff in multiple regions Some traveling will be required
