Job Description

Our team is looking for an enthusiastic professional; someone who is intrigued by the opportunity to work in a dynamic and talented team in our growing Information technology organization leveraging both public and private Cloud platforms. FICO is expanding into new core offerings. We are building a team of people with strong MS Sql Server Database and NoSQL skills who will partner with the development teams to architect, design, automate database systems and deployments and embrace new technologies. Your experience in those areas are a great asset for the Database Engineering team. -Database Engineering-Sr Manager, Global Technology Services DeptWhat You ll Contribute

  • Architect, Engineer, Design and support primarily MS Sql Server database infrastructure and systems. You will also have the opportunity to work on other database systems such as mySQL or noSQL technologies.
  • Plan, implement and manage physical databases of mission critical OLTP and provide capacity planning to determine future storage needs.
  • Implement, document and test critical HA/DR MS SQL Servers solutions including Active-Active environments (and Active-Passive) across data centers.
  • Develop processes and procedures to enhance the stability and performance of database environment and our level of support to our client teams.
  • Prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment, showing a sense of ownership and commitment to achieving results.
  • Ensure that backup, restore and recovery procedures are implemented and followed.
  • Monitor and address Windows OS parameters related to database configurations.
What We re Seeking
  • BS or MIS in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in MS SQL Server database 2008/2012/2016 covering administration, automation, infrastructure and architecture design, application integration techniques, and relational database design.
  • Proficient in knowledge with PCI compliance, TDE knowledge and security best practices.
  • Expert in knowledge of SQL Server Audit feature for SQL 2008/2012/2016
  • Proficient in knowledge of SQL Server Clustering for SQL 2008/2012/2016
  • Proficient with SQL 2012 Availability group, DAG, and understanding of SQL Audit impact/dependencies on AG partners
  • Proficient with SQL 2008/2012/2016 Log Shipping, Replication features and clear understanding of SQL Audit impact/dependencies with them
  • Experience with mySQL, Couchbase, MongoDB or other NoSQL technologies is a plus.
  • Experience and comfort working in a team-oriented, fast-paced, collaborative setting.
  • Experience in scripting or automation (puppet, Cloudify or similar) is a plus.
  • Strong Windows skills.
  • Experience working in Active-Active environments is plus.
