lead resource development in bengaluru / bangaloreJob Description Resource mobilisation and development is a strategicallyimportant function at IIHS and is recognised as a critical enabler ofinstitutional growth and sustainability. The position of Lead - ResourceDevelopment holds primary responsibility for designing/refining andimplementing an effective fund-raising strategy for IIHS, and delivering fundsagainst agreed targets. Activities and Tasks Responsibilities would include,but not be limited to, the following: Reviewing the IIHS fund raisingstrategy and refining it as appropriate, in line with the strategic aims aswell as operational requirements of IIHS; Establishing and nurturing IIHSrelationships with diverse donor segments including Foundations, Corporates,CSR Trusts, Philanthropists and Philanthropic Foundations, both domestic andinternational; Development of persuasive and innovative proposals, casestudies, and other collateral as relevant to specific donor segments; Delivering both operational and capital resource mobilisation against agreedtargets; Holding overall operational and budgetary responsibility for theResource Development Office; Working closely with different Programme Headsand Leads at IIHS to support their strategic planning, business developmentand grant raising initiatives; Regularly reporting to the IIHS Management onfund raising status, activities, achievements, and plans; Creating andsending out regular updates and other institutional communication asappropriate to all Donors; Building and maintaining leading edge knowledgeof the Fund Raising marketplace through analysis and research on a continuousbasis. Lead - Resource Development 3 Structure and Reporting The Lead -Resource Development will report to a member of the Senior Management team atIIHS and will be required to collaborate effectively with a diverse group ofinternal teams and external individuals/organisations, and students. PersonSpecification At least 12-15 years of experience in fund raising (orequivalent); in particular, experience in dealing with Family Offices would beuseful; Market knowledge and understanding of the fund-raising space; in-depth understanding of the best practices of fund raising within and outsideIndia; Clear understanding of taxation laws and regulation related to fundraising, CSR and donations; Strong communication skills, both oral andwritten; an ability to interact effectively with a diverse group ofindividuals and personalities across levels, sectors and disciplines; AMasters degree in Management or any other related field; Proficiency inMicrosoft Excel, PowerPoint and other relevant software tools; proficiency inthe use of digital and social media to achieve functional objectives. The search will remain open until theposition is filled. Location This position is based in Bengaluru and mayentail travel to other locations in India.
