This position is for Beckman Coulter team located at Danaher India Development Center (IDC), BangaloreIDC is a research and development center with the vision of accelerating product roadmaps across various Danaher business segments. Started in 2014, the center now hosts 500+ associates, for multiple Danaher operating companies focusing on Diagnostics, Life Science, and Environmental and Applied Science segments. The operating companies includes Beckman Coulter, Radiometer, Leica Biosystems, Danaher Digital, Hach, Leica Microsystems, HemoCue, Videojet IDBS, Sciex and Cepheid.The IDC workforce comprises of various product engineering teams, working on development of software and hardware components of cutting-edge products for, Immunoassay, Chemistry, Hematology, Molecular diagnostics, Oncology, Neurosurgery and Water Quality. IDC has evolved as center of excellence for Cloud and data analytics, with significant contributions to the key informatics solutions. The teams consist of highly hardworking software & hardware engineers and development managers. The teams are supported by local Product managers, Quality & Regulatory and Intellectual property specialists.The inhouse teams works in close coordination with other global R&D centers at US, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Denmark and Sweden. Located at the center of Bangalore IT HUB, IDC is housed at state of art facility, measuring 120 K. Position Description: We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Scrum Master with 8+ years of experience to lead multiple agile teams of our Clinical Chemistry and Immunoassay products.The position is located in Bangalore and will closely collaborate with other teams in US, China and Japan.Job summaryThe Scrum Master serves a vital role and is in the unique position to help coach, guide and facilitate an energetic and knowledgeable team. You will serve as a critical liaison between the product delivery team, product owner and senior management providing critical direction, communication and assuring the quality delivery of products and services to our customers.Responsibilities
• Leads one or more scrum teams.
• Employs best practices for agile/scrum methodology, while operating within the departments overall SDLC Framework.
• Works collaboratively with the product owner and team members to give input and support to the strategic direction for the team.
• Motivates and supports team members and ensures they have the tools and knowledge to do their jobs and that all impediments are resolved quickly.
• Take ownership of sprint planning, daily standups, sprint demos, reporting out and retrospective sessions.
• Ensure a robust, prioritized backlog is available for team.
• Ensure that each feature delivered by the scrum team fully meets the Definition of Done without compromise
• Supports Project Manager in understanding and communicating team effectiveness and performance.
• Communicates team status and continuously refines/improves metrics by working with the team.
• Maintain electronic DM board and bring up issues that require management attention.
• Responsible for balancing workload to optimize the effectiveness of project development and management.
• Performs analysis to determine root cause of challenges and facilitate solutions for improved operational and process performance.
• Coordinate with PO to ensure that feature refinement takes place well within schedule
• Look for opportunities of improvement in the development processes and address those with team
Qualifications
• Clear understanding of one of the agile frameworks.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and planning skills.
• Must demonstrate leadership ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.
• Partner Management, Negotiation and Communication skills.
• Understanding of the fundamentals of iterative and incremental development.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and mentoring skills.
• Demonstrable conflict resolution skills.
• Proven risk management and mitigation skills.
• Knowledge of tools used to assist with scrum team planning.
Desired Characteristics
• Passionate about continuous improvement activities for process and product quality improvement initiatives with agile and lean principles.
• Self-starter who is eager to resolve issues and complete projects
• Passionate about collaboration, quality and excellent teaming skills to work with multi-functional and in a multi-site software teams like Japan, China or the U.S is an added advantage.
• Good communication skills in English for effectively working with co-workers and partners.
Qualifications
• Batchelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven track record in leading scrum teams in product development environment preferably electro-mechanical instruments.
