Job Description

    We have an opportunity to impact your career and provide an adventure where you can push the limits of whats possible Job Summary As a Lead Software Engineer - KDB in the FX Team of the Corporate & Investment Banking business at JPMorgan Chase, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm s business objectives. Job Responsibilities
    • Participate in design and develop scalable and resilient systems in a timely manner using KDB+ technology and the Q language, to enable real-time and historical analytics for internal and external customers.
    • Drive next-gen implementation of Macro KDB platform, combining on-prem and cloud-based engineering solutions.
    • Expand KDB-driven tools and services to address the growing demands of Regulatory, Surveillance and Compliance initiatives.
    • Participate in scrum team stand-ups, code reviews and other ceremonies, contribute to task completion and blocker resolution within your team
    • Handle critical and time sensitive concurrent tasks without supervision and properly escalate situations as appropriate
    • Maintain technical acumen by pursuing formal and informal learning opportunities about technology, JPMorgan Chase products, and financial services
    Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
    • Expert in KDB+ technology and Q language
    • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
    • Knowledgeable of FX and Rates electronic trading markets, products and protocols
    • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
    • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency and Security
    • Experience in real-time processing of large market data and order volumes, preferably in cloud-based deployments
    Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
    • Practical cloud native experience
    • Self sufficiency - able to take ownership and drive resolution of issues
